Prepare an emergency kit that includes essential items such as a flashlight, batteries, a first-aid kit, medications, important documents, and bottled water. Store the kit in an easily accessible location and ensure everyone in the family knows where it is.

7. Stay Informed and Updated

Stay informed about fire safety by regularly reviewing and updating your fire safety plan. Keep up with the latest safety recommendations from local fire departments and organizations like the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Make adjustments to your plan as needed, especially if there are changes in your household.
